Originally published in 1937, the Raymonds were displaced from Japan by World War II, but upon their return after the war resumed their architectural practice in the country. In 1947 they updated and republished this book which highlights both their designs for buildings, furniture, and interiors, as well as traditional Japanese architecture with both photographs and cross section drawings. An important piece by Antonin and Noémi Raymond who completed some stunning work both in the United States and abroad but are best known for their mid-century modern work and structures in Japan in the 1930s.
